Eskom says it has been granted permission by the South African Road Agency (Sanral) to have the N1 highway closed temporarily in both directions between the William Nicol and Rivonia offramps on Sunday. This is to allow for the replacement of cables.
The section of Witkoppen Road will also be closed. The closures will be from eight on Sunday morning until four on Sunday afternoon. There will be periods when partial traffic flow will be allowed.
Eskom has apologised for the inconvenience caused to motorists.
