Thousands of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) supporters gathered at the Nkowankowa stadium, near Tzaneen, where they were addressed by the party president, Julius Malema.
Malema raised the issue of people getting jobs through nepotism, party affiliation and favours. He said they will hire people based on competency and qualifications.

One of the many promises made by Malema is the increase of social grants, more than R800 for children and more than R3000 for pensioners.
He went on to say that teachers, the police and nurses will receive higher salaries, adding to it he also promised performance bonuses to police officers.

Malema made is very clear to the people who they should vote for on the 8th of May, making a special appeal to the elderly.
The EFF national has been hosting rallies in the province in various areas over the past two days.
