Eastern Cape showcases its heritage at Isingqisethu Cultural festival

It has been more than a year of struggle for artists in the Eastern Cape due to the lockdowns.

But the government’s decision to stay on Alert Level 1 for now despite the resurgence of corona infections came as the best news for artists from the Eastern Cape. The decision paved the way for the annual Isingqisethu Cultural festival in Port St John to go ahead.

The two-day festival aims to showcase the diversity of the province’s culture and heritage through music, dance, drama, poetry and fashion. It is also a platform for emerging talent.
