African National Congress (ANC) NEC member Collen Maine says a cabinet reshuffle is necessary to show that no wrongdoing can be accepted and no one owns a position forever.
Maine was speaking at the closing of the party’s Northern Cape provincial ANC Lekgotla in Kimberley where he emphasized the need for good and honest governance.
Maine says those that have not accepted Cyril Ramaphosa, will have to accept the changes he makes.
“Many people have been reshuffled before, the president has the right to appoint cabinet after consulting with the ANC, we have had about nine reshuffles and we have survived them. So even in the future, we are going to do that.”
