Bok players meet Durban fans

Springbok Captain, Siya Kolisi has stepped out of the team’s Umhlanga hotel in Durban to interact with the scores of fans that have been waiting, some for hours, to see their Rugby World Cup heroes.

Durban is the second leg of the victory parade and the excitement was tangible as these fans waited for the World Champions.

Springbok fans in KwaZulu-Natal have expressed pride in being South African saying the Boks’ win of the Rugby World Cup has united the country.

Some community members from KwaMashu in Durban say although rugby is not a popular sport in the township, they want authorities to introduce rugby at public schools.

Meanwhile, the South African Weather Service has warned fans to carry raincoats and umbrellas if they are plan to catch a glimpse of the Springboks bus as it passes through Durban on Friday.

The Weather Service says Boks fans will have to brave cold and rainy weather, with a 60% chance of rain expected in various parts of the city.
