ANC to embark on four-day visit with traditional leaders in Limpopo

The African National Congress’s (ANC) top four will on Wednesday meet with various traditional leaders across Limpopo as part of its four-day 110th birthday celebrations.

The programme which starts on Wednesday is scheduled to end on Saturday with a rally at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The party will also host a gala dinner and golf day to raise funds.

Party president, Cyril Ramaphosa, will start his campaign by paying a courtesy visit to the Regent of the Bapedi Kingdom, Queen Manyaku Thulare in Sekhukhune.

Ramaphosa will later engage with other traditional leaders in the district before meeting with members of the party at a local school in Phokwane village.

Party deputy president, David Mabuza, will engage with traditional leaders in the Capricorn district at the Polokwane Municipal Chambers.

Chairperson Gwede Mantashe will pay a courtesy visit to VhaVenda royal council at Dzata outside Thohoyandou.

January 8 Statement 

The ANC in Limpopo says all logistical arrangements are in place to host the party’s annual January 8 statement and 110th anniversary in Polokwane.

About 2 000 party members will be allowed to attend the celebrations at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Provincial spokesperson Donald Selamolela says they are ready to host the event.
