South Africa’s greatest ever fast bowler, Dale Steyn, has officially retired from all forms of cricket.
Steyn, who was known as the Phalaborwa Express, has not played international cricket for more than two years, but in his 93 test matches, he took a record 439 wickets.
He also played 125 one-day internationals taking 196 scalps, while in his 47 T20 internationals, yielded 64 wickets.

He’s regarded as the best bowler of his generation.
During the 2007-08 season, Steyn took 78 wickets and was subsequently rewarded with the ICC 2008 Test Cricketer of the Year Award.
He was named one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 2013, and Wisden Leading Cricketer in the World for the year 2013.
Steyn was also included in the ICC Test Team of the Decade at the end of 2020.
