Five Afrikaans journalists from SABC’s RSG have been nominated for the annual ATKV Media Veertjie (or Feather) awards which celebrates the important role that Afrikaans media plays in society.
Executive producer of RSG Current Affairs, Foeta Krige says, “RSG’s news team has won several ATKV Veertjies in various categories over the past few years. We are very proud to announce that five of our journalists are on the short list again this year for three categories. Hopefully, we will be able to bring home a Veertjie or two on Friday night.”
In 2017, the SABC shined at the awards and walked away with a total of 15 winners in the categories of Television and Radio broadcast.
