Nine driving licence testing stations in Cape Town have been closed due to staff testing positive for COVID-19.
Traffic spokesperson Maxine Bezuidenhout says affected facilities include Brackenfell, Parow, Bellville, Gallows Hill and Somerset West.
She says the buildings are being disinfected and operations will resume as soon as possible.
Bezuidenhout says they are taking every precaution to curb the spread of the virus.
The City of Cape Town has apologised to residents for the inconvenience caused.

The Western Cape remains the province with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19, accounting for 52.9% of the country’s total, having recorded 51 441 infections.
The province has also recorded the most deaths, accounting for 1 419 of total fatalities in South Africa.
The Western Cape has also recorded 35 559 COVID-19 recoveries.
It is followed by Gauteng with 20 822 cases, accounting for 21.4% of South Africa’s total infections. The province also accounts for 122 of the country’s COVID-19 related deaths. It has also recorded 264 recoveries.
A total of 1 328 608 tests have been conducted in the country so far. On Sunday the total number of COVID-19 cases increased by 4 621 to 97 302.
South Africa has recorded 51 608 recoveries, which translates to a recovery rate of 53%.
Currently, the country has 45 694 active cases.
