Gauteng police are searching for two suspects following a shooting incident in Newlands, Johannesburg yesterday.
A 41-year-old man was killed and his 14-year-old daughter wounded after unknown suspects opened fire on them.
Gauteng Police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi says officers are investigating cases of murder and attempted.
“It is reported that the victims, a father and daughter were shot by two unknown coloured men. The father (41) succumbed to his injuries while the daughter (14) was taken to hospital. The motive of the shooting is unknown at this stage.”
“No one is currently arrested and the police request anyone who may have information that can assist with the investigation to contact the Crime Stop Line at 08600 10111,” adds Nevhuhulwi.
