Zimbabwean nationals are still reacting to the death of their former President Robert Mugabe.

Mugabe died on Friday morning in a hospital in Singapore at the age of 95.

Zimbabweans living around Mahikeng in the North West have expressed mixed feelings about his passing.

One person says, “We’re suffering because of this man, he was in power for a long time, he ended up messing up. He was our hero but he is now zero.”

“I came here because of him. We came here looking for jobs while we should be in Zimbabwe,” adds another person.

Others, who are in awe of Mugabe’s leadership, have hailed him as a hero.

“Mugabe is our hero, I say our hero. May our president rest in peace.”
