The African Christian Democratic Party’s Premier candidate for the Western Cape, Ferlon Christians, says the provincial government is marginalising Christians when it comes to accessing business opportunities in the province.

He’s was speaking at the party’s election manifesto launch in Kuils River near Cape Town. The ACDP says its slogan for the 2019 General elections is Unite, Build and Grow.

The party says its election campaign will focus on addressing unemployment, economic growth, education, skills development and the country’s health services.

Christians says, “If you want to do business when it comes to food with the Western Cape government, you must have a halaal certificate and the Imam must come to your place of business to bless the business. So if you do not comply to their requirements, you do not get business. Christian businesses have told me they have to close down because they can’t do business with the Western Cape government. It’s a fact.”
