Deputy President David Mabuza has called on the youth to come up with innovative ideas that can help address their current challenges, such as unemployment.

Mabuza was speaking during a youth expo event where different departments and other agencies are providing economic opportunities to the youth in Ermelo in Mpumalanga.

The deputy president says the government is keen to assist the youth in realising their dreams in different fields.

The initiative called -The Youth walk into Economic Opportunities, is spearheaded by all the government’s deputy ministers.

Mabuza believes the programme will produce entrepreneurs instead of job seekers.

“Is a very good programme that the government has initiated to expose what is available because we are living in an age where young people must take this country forward in terms of innovations and coming with new solutions to the current problems but I can see that the innovation is coming,” says Mabuza.
