The trial of a man accused of brutally killing 6-year-old Kutlwano Garesape in August 2016 continues in the Kimberley High Court.
Thirty two-year-old Tefelo Dikole allegedly killed the little boy when he tried to protect his mom from being raped by the accused.
Dikole allegedly stabbed Kutlwano multiple times with a bottle and threw his body on a railway track in Jan Kempdorp.
The incident happened when Kutlwano’s mother, Segomotso, took him and his 8-year-old brother to school after they missed the school bus.
The incident sent shockwaves not only in South Africa but also internationally.
