The funeral service of eight-year-old Tazne Van Wyk is taking place at the United Reformed Church in Elsies River on Saturday. The service was preceded by a procession from her home to the church.
Cape Town Mayor Dan Plato is among those attending the funeral.
Tazne’s was found in a stormwater drain in Worcester in the Boland last week after she had disappeared several days earlier.
She will be buried at the Modderdam Cemetry.
