The City of Cape Town’s Disaster Risk Management Centre has received numerous reports of flooded roadways and fallen trees. This is after the heavy downpours and strong winds late on Saturday and overnight.

Spokesperson Charlotte Powell says at this stage, there have been no power disruptions, rock falls or mudslides.

No reports have been received yet of flooding in informal settlements.

Further inland in the Western Cape, a number of mountain ranges are covered in snow. Snow has also fallen at ground level in Ceres in the Koue Bokkeveld and at Prince Alfred Hamlet.

In the Boland, some bridges and roads are flooded.
