The disgruntled African National Congress (ANC) group in the Free State is boycotting this weekend’s provincial conference in Bloemfontein.

The group says it’s unconstitutional and undermines the 2017 court order. It plans to return to court in a bid to nullify the conference.

In 2017 the Bloemfontein High Court nullified the conference and 14 branches for irregularities.

As a result, the Provincial Executive Committee was disbanded.

High structures of the ANC appointed the Provincial Task Team. But the group still dissatisfied want fresh branch audits.

Disgruntled members Monnapule Ntamo says:”Bulwane and his factional PTT, they must really come and prove to the Free State members of the ANC by giving us those attendance registers that they claim that they’ve run those branches.”

The group defended its memberships which were questioned by the PTT coordinator.

Meanwhile it’s all systems go for the 8th provincial conference.

PTT co-ordinator William Bulwane says:”We formally wish to denounce all the social media reports that the conference is not proceeding as untrue. We wish to inform all the branches, the leagues and the FS community that the conference is preceding as planned.”

The disgruntled group says it will do whatever it takes to retain the dignity of the ANC in the province.
