Bribery in SA remains top form of corruption

According to Corruption Watch’s report, bribery at 33%, abuse of power at 23% and dereliction of duties at 18% are some of the top three forms of corruption in the country.

Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng are some of the leading provinces when it comes to corruption in the country.

According to the non-profit organisation, there’s been an alarming and disturbing increase in females being extorted either for money or for sexual favours also known as ‘Sextortion’.

Corruption Watch researcher, Melusi Ncala says in the report, even high ranking SAPS including station commanders, colonels and warrant officers are some of the people who often find themselves on the wrong side of the law.
