The Umkhonto we Sizwe Military Veterans Association (MKMVA) says it’s unlikely that former President Jacob Zuma would get a fair trial in South Africa.

On Friday, National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) Head, Shaun Abrahams announced the decision to prosecute Zuma on charges of corruption, fraud and racketeering.

The charges are related to the multi-billion rand Arms deal in the late 1990s.

National spokesperson of the MKMVA, Carl Niehaus says: “Over a considerable period of time, former president Jacob Zuma had been treated terribly by the main stream media in South Africa.”

“This reporting reached every nook and cranny of the South African society, and also reached and influenced the judiciary and judges,” adds Niehaus.
