The evicted residents are in the streets with their furniture.

Residents of Windsor East in Randburg, Johannesburg, have been left stranded after the Red Ants evicted them on Tuesday morning.

The evicted residents are in the streets with their furniture.

Residents say nothing was communicated to them regarding the evictions.

Windsor has in recent years become a crime hotspot.

The Red Ants are notorious for what has been criticised as aggressive evictions in Gauteng.

SABC Reporter Chriselda Lewis spoke to some emotional residents who say they have nowhere to go.
