Former President Jacob Zuma, leaders of other political parties including the African National Congress and the Economic Freedom Fighters are among dignitaries attending Inkatha Freedom Party leader iNkosi Mangosuthu Buthelezi‘s 90th birthday.

The birthday celebrations of the veteran IFP leader is being held at Ulundi sports stadium in northern KwaZulu-Natal and has been organised by his family.

His elder son Ntuthuko Yezwe Buthelezi says the family is thrilled that his father turns 90.

“We realised that he was beyond just his family in terms of his calling and responsibilities. We wanted to celebrate with everyone, people who have meant a lot to him, yes we expect [former]President Zuma to join us, and we expect Nkosi Phathekile Holomisa and opposition including Dali Mpofu will be here.”
