The University of South Africa’s (Unisa) Vice-chancellor Puleng Lenkabula has commended International Relations and Cooperation Minister Dr Naledi Pandor for being consistent in championing South Africa’s position on what’s happening in Gaza.

The International Criminal Court’s prosecutor has confirmed that it has received the South African government’s documents requesting the court to investigate Israel’s actions in Gaza.

The National Assembly will vote on the matter on Tuesday.

Lenkabula says civil societies have also made their voices heard.

“We are quite proud of Minister Pandor, that our country, civil society movements and many have really stood on the side of justice, they did not steer away from speaking truth to power.”
