Reading Time: 2 minutes

The police in the North West are searching for three unidentified suspects in connection with the kidnapping of two cousins, 17-year-old Zahraa Mohammed and 19-year-old Bataviya Mohammed. The incident occurred in front of a primary school in Brits in the North West earlier today.

According to police spokesperson Lieutenant Amanda Funani, the cousins were travelling from Bataviya’s home in Brits to school in the Hartbeesport Dam area when a car hit theirs.

Funani adds that two armed men ordered the cousins to get into a white Volkswagen Polo GTI that was driving behind the Audi A3.

“The suspects also got into the VW Polo GTI and fled the scene with the victims inside. The victims’ Mercedes Benz and the Audi A3 were found at the scene. Police request anyone who may have information that can assist in the investigations to contact the station commander of Brits, Brigadier Ellen Emmanuel, on 082 447 7447.”
