Political Analyst and a Policy Specialist TK Pooe says it looks like the Nelson Mandela Metro mayor Athol Trollip might survive the vote of no-confidence.
This comes as latest developments on Wednesday revealed that the African Independent Congress (AIC) will be voting with the Democratic Alliance (DA) in Thursday’s vote of no-confidence at the Nelson Mandela Metro which will decide what comes of the metro as the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) – DA coalition faces its biggest test yet.
“As of Wednesday’s developments, it looks like the Nelson Mandela mayor will be relatively safe; however, the bigger question to ask is for how long? The nation of coalition has three types of coalition which are; “The ideology we all agree on”, “The policy we all agree on” or the “I am going to give you something and in the meantime if you ever were to resend that I’ll ask for another vote of no confidence.”
