Three suspects have been arrested following the kidnapping of a business man in De Deur on the Vaal. The victim was rescued unharmed in Lenasia south.
“The teams swooped in three identified addresses; one in Lenasia south with the victim found unharmed. At his address police arrested the owner of the property, a 70-year-old Mozambican national. At the second address in Ennerdale police found a dark Toyota Hilux and fake registration number plates which were utilised in the commission of the crime. One suspect – a Malawian national was arrested. When police arrived at the third address in Roodepoort, they were met with gun fire. One suspect – a South African national was arrested. One licensed firearm was also seized,” Police spokesperson, Athlenda Mathe explains.
