The Sindiso Magaqa murder trial in the Pietermaritzburg High Court has been rolled over to tomorrow.

This after the court heard that one of the four accused, Mlungisi Ncalane, was arrested at the end of last year in another matter and that he is appearing in the Maphumulo Magistrate’s Court in connection with that case today.

Ncalane, Sbonelo Myeza, Mbulelo Mpofana and Sibusiso Ncengwa are charged with conspiracy to commit murder, murder, attempted murder, malicious injury to property, and charges of unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.

Magaqa was a former Secretary-General of the ANC Youth League and served as a councillor in the Umzimkhulu Municipality when he was killed in 2017.

His murder is among those that came under the spotlight by the commission of inquiry that was investigating political killings in the province.
