Fans of the 70’s Swedish supergroup, ABBA, have again been reassured that the Super Troupers will be releasing new music before the end of 2021.

ABBA’s spokesperson, Görel Hanser, spoke of five new singles on the way while addressing a webinar at the weekend, celebrating the iconic band’s Official International Fan Club’s 35th anniversary.

Hanser is quoted as promising that fans will not be disappointed when they hear the new compositions that will be released before the end of this year.

The group last toured in 1982, saying it’s taking a break after conquering the planet and selling over 350-million records at the time.

In January 2016, the four-piece appeared together in public for the first time in 34 years at the opening of their entertainment venture, “Mamma Mia! The Party”, in Stockholm.

Five months later, in June of that year, Agnetha, Benny, Björn and Anni-Frid re-united for their first public performance in decades.

This was also in the Swedish capital, during a gala event in honour of the band’s songwriting duo, Benny & Björn, who met 50 years ago for the first time.

ABBA, in their heydays, never performed in South Africa because of sanctions and boycotts against the country’s discriminatory and suppressive political system at the time.

Fans of the 70’s Swedish super group, Abba, have been re-assured once again that the Super Troupers will be releasing…
