SABC Board member stands by Motsoeneng comments

SABC board member Krish Naidoo says he is considering suing former SABC COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng for alleged defamation.

Naidoo is being cross examined in Motsoeneng’s hearing at the CCMA.

Motsoeneng is arguing that he was unfairly dismissed after holding a press briefing in which he attacked Naidoo among other things.

The CCMA hearing got off to a slow start with the cross examination of former board member Krish Naidoo.

Motsoeneng’s council Kgomosoane Mathipa wanted to nail Naidoo on his appearance in Parliament where he said Motsoeneng was a high school dropout and where he also said that he had no authority to sign the R500 million Multichoice contract where the SABC has been accused of selling archives to the highest bidder.

Naidoo says he stands by his comments. He also says that he is considering suing Motsoeneng for calling him a sell out in that ill-fated press briefing.
