Vooma Vaccine Weekend

The Vooma Vaccination Campaign continued in parts of Gauteng on Sunday.

Vaccination sites were established on college and university campuses as well as in public spaces across the province.

Over 3.2 million people have been fully vaccinated in Gauteng.

Health MEC Nomathemba Mokgethi has urged people to get vaccinated before the fourth wave of infections sets in.

Mokgethi says, “As we are also chasing the numbers in this regard, we are also ready for the fourth wave because the scientists are confirming that we will have it. Most of the people get tired and remove the masks and tired of sanitising and so on. So, there’s also issues of attending super-spreader events like we are also worried about the election events.”
