The popular Eastern Beach in East London is abuzz, with holidaymakers flocking to the coastline to enjoy the warm Indian Ocean waters.

This is one of the most visited areas around the Buffalo City Metro, attracting tourists from different parts of the province.

To many, this is the moment to reflect on the year that’s almost over. It’s also an opportunity to look ahead. This is what some of them had to say.

“We are here as a family and we decided to be here because our year has been tough it’s very nice here,” a holidaymaker said.

“We decide to be here to spend time together as a family since everybody is busy most of the time so we decided to be here so that we can spend time together. Others are from Cape Town and other provinces, so we here just enjoying ourselves,” another holidaymaker added.
