Quality education assurance body, Umalusi, has reported that there were no paper leaks during the 2023 National Senior Certificate exams.
It revealed this during the pronouncement of its assessment of the 2023 results.
Both private and public education bodies, such as the Basic Education and Higher Education departments, were reviewed.
Over one million National Senior Certificate candidates sat for the 2023 exams.
Fraudulent certificates, group copying, and printing quality were highlighted as concerns.
Umalusi CEO, Dr Mafu Rakometsi, has also raised concerns about serious errors in several question papers which had a material impact on learners’ marks.
