The New Zealand men’s cricket team has won its first-ever Test series against South Africa.

The Black Caps beat an under-strength Proteas team by seven wickets in the second test in Hamilton for a 2-0 series clean sweep.

The home side required 267 runs for victory in its second innings.

Thanks to an unbeaten 133 by former captain, Kane Williamson, the Kiwis reached 269 for three late on day four.

It was Williams’ 32nd Test century and his seventh in his last seven test matches.

Debutant fast bowler, Will O’Rourke, was named the Player of the Match for his nine wickets in the Test.
