Mozambicans urged to vote on Tuesday

Mozambicans walk past election posters ahead Tuesday's provincial and legislative elections, in Maputo, Mozambique, October 11, 2019.

The Electoral Commission of Mozambique has urged all the electorate to go and cast their votes on Tuesday.

The commission’s Chairperson Sheik Abdul Carimo Sau has assured Mozambicans that the elections will be safe, free and fair.

He says all logistics have been put in place to ensure that there are no hiccups in the polls.

Over 12-million Mozambicans have registered to vote in this year’s elections.
