With 77.76% of the voting districts declared in the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, the African National Congress is leading followed by the Democratic Alliance and the Economic Freedom Fighters in third place.
The Ekurhuleni Metro has a population of 3 379 104 people. In the 2016 Municipal elections, 1 590 140 people were registered to vote and only 58% of the registered voters cast their vote.
