Mandla Msibi’s case postponed to February 2022

The case of former Mpumalanga Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development MEC Mandla Msibi has been postponed to February 24 in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court.

The case has been postponed for further investigation and for the National Director of Public Prosecution (NDPP) to make a decision.

Msibi appeared in court along with five co-accused on Monday morning.

They are implicated in the fatal shooting of two men in August.

According to the evidence presented in court, the victims Christopher Ngwenya and Sindela Lubisi, were killed from a hail of bullets.

Two bullets were found on Ngwenya’s head.

The third victim, Sfiso Mpila, who was amongst them, escaped with a bullet wound on the leg.

The accused’s R20 000 bail has been extended.
