Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson is hopeful the 7-1 thumping of Rangers in the Champions League can ignite their season as they turn their attention to hosting Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.
The two EPL giants have been at the forefront of the title race in the recent past with City claiming the title in epic fashion on the final day last season.
Man City, with 23 points, currently trail log leaders Arsenal by just one point, with Liverpool languishing in 10th spot with just 10 points from eight matches.
