India beats New Zealand by 372 runs in second cricket test

India has beaten New Zealand by 372 runs on the fourth morning of the second cricket Test at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai to clinch the two-match series one-nil.

The Black Caps who were set a target of 540 for victory, resumed their second innings on 140 for the loss of five wickets.

They lost their last five wickets for the addition of just 27 runs. Off-spinner, Jayant Yadav cleaned up the tail to finish with figures of four for 49 in 14 overs.

But it was man of the series, Ravi Ashwin, who wrapped up the match when he dismissed Henry Nichols for 44.

India will soon travel to South Africa for a full tour, starting with the first test match in Johannesburg from December 28.
