The Independent Electoral Commission Results Operation Center (ROC) in Pretoria has been evacuated due to a power outage. South Africa has been experiencing power challenges.

Earlier, an Eskom spokesperson told SABC News the power outage had nothing to do with load shedding.

IEC says there is no fire and they are working at restoring the power and operations.

On Friday, the power utility Eskom suspended load shedding after implementing stage 4 and stage 2.

COO Jan Oberholzer said there have been some improvements in the generation capacity, which has allowed its generation reserves ahead of the weekend.
