Heavy traffic expected on the N3 from Wednesday

The N3 Toll Concession Company says heavy traffic is expected on the N3 between KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng from Wednesday until Friday.

This as thousands of holidaymakers travel to various destinations in time for Christmas.

N3TC Operations Manager Thania Dhoogra says currently there are a number of scenes being attended to along the N3 but traffic is flowing.

Dhoogra urged motorists to plan their trips ahead of this week’s expected heavy traffic.

“Majority traffic was observed moving in a southbound direction towards KZN. However, an increase was also noted in volumes heading northbound towards Gauteng. Wet and overcast and cloudy conditions are reported along the routes. Motorists are once again reminded to reduce speed and turn on headlights to increase visibility.”
