The humanitarian organisation, Gift of the Givers, has once again come to the rescue of drought hit farmers, by delivering over 100 tons of animal feed at Herbertsdale outside Mossel Bay in the Western Cape.

The trucks were carrying bales of hay and maize donated by farmers from Gauteng and Bloemfontein.

This is the second time in as many weeks that they have visited the region.

Rain has evaded the area, leading to insufficient grazing areas.

Mossel Bay Mayor, Harry Levendal, says the donation will ensure that livestock is fed for weeks to come.
