The disaster relief organisation, Gift of the Givers, says it will continue to provide relief to people. The organisation which is commemorating its 27th anniversary on Tuesday says it is currently putting water meters in hospitals in the Western Cape.
Spokesperson Dr Imtiaz Sooliman says the meters will be able to show them which hospitals are losing water.
“Bringing water in crisis situations is something we have been focusing on right now. Currently also animal fodder because of the drought a lot of animals have died because lack of fodder. We have delivered close to R70 million worth of fodder to animals who need it in parts of Southern Cape and Eastern Cape. In those and then of course intervention in education, medical intervention in hospitals and counselling services,” says Sooliman.
