Five former senior executives at Transnet have been arrested by the Hawks and Investigating Directorate, after handing themselves in at the Brackendowns Police Station on Friday morning.
They will appear before Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court sitting as the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court.
They are charged with contravention of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), fraud, corruption and money laundering.

The Commission of Inquiry into State Capture recommended in the second volume of its report the prosecution of the five former executives after various findings.
