Elections 2019: Cape Party

Party abbreviation: CAPE

In the 2019 elections, CAPE will be contesting seats in the Provincial elections in the Western Cape.

CAPE was founded in 2007 and registered with the IEC in 2008. The party is led by Jack Miller.

Manifesto:

CAPE received 2552 votes in the 2009 General elections. The party received 4473 votes in the 2016 Municipal elections.

But the party has performed better at local level in recent years. In November 2017, CAPE took part in by-elections for the Brackenfell Ward, receiving 18.72% of the vote, coming second after the DA. In December 2008, CAPE contested the by-elections for the Saldanha Ward, coming second again to the DA.  In February 2019, the party contested the Seapoint by-elections, once again coming second to the DA.
