In the 2019 elections, the African Independent Congress will be contesting for seats in the National Assembly and all the country’s nine provincial legislatures.
The party was established on 12 December 2005 by the disgruntled people of Matatiele and neighbouring villages.
The AIC has been doing well in the polls, securing three seats in the 2014 general elections after scoring only one in 2009.
The party is led by Mandla Galo.
