CONTRALESA calls on youth to register for 2024 polls

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The traditional leaders’ organisation CONTRALESA is appealing to the youth in the country to register this weekend to enable them to vote in the 2024 elections. This weekend is the IEC’s second but not last voter registration drive ahead of the elections.

The CONTRALESA president, Chief Lameck Mokoena says young people should take this opportunity to have a say in choosing the country’s leaders.

“CONTRALESA is worried that the majority of our youth is reluctant to go and register in order for them to go and vote in the coming elections. There are many challenges in our country and it needs our youth to stand up and lead. Contralesa calls upon our youth to use this opportunity to go and register so that they can vote for the government of their choice in these coming elections.”
