Chief Clyde Mnisi’s widow to be buried on Sunday

Mpumalanga Chief Clyde Mnisi’s widow Charlene Mathews, who was shot and killed on Tuesday, will be buried at Hazyview on Sunday.

Mathews was killed 48 hours after her husband was laid to rest. Two other family members were wounded in the shooting.

According to the Mpumalanga police media statement, it is reported that the armed suspects got into the house and shot three people in the house before fleeing the scene. A team of investigators has been assembled and have begun the probe into how the suspects got into the house, the murder and the motive behind the murder.

Chief Clyde Mnisi was shot and killed in a hail of bullets two weeks ago on the road near the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport.

Police are yet to arrest suspects in both incidents.
