Five suspects have appeared in the Tsolo Magistrate’s Court in the Eastern Cape in connection with the murder of six members of the same family.
They were arrested after five members of the George family were shot and killed in their house in Tshisane village in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The sixth victim was hacked to death prior to the mass shooting.
The suspects indicated in court that they will use a private legal representative.
The state plans to oppose bail.
The case has been postponed to the 6th of January next year and the suspects remain in custody.
