BIO Africa Convention to focus on COVID-19

In the last five days of level three lockdown which kicked in on Monday, the province has recorded 201 new deaths.

The BIO Africa Convention will be held from Wednesday with the World Health Organisation to discuss how the continent is responding to COVID-19.

The main objective of the convention is to stimulate African biotechnology businesses for the benefit of the continent.

In the video below, Deputy Director-General at the Department of Science and Technology Mmboneni Muofhe discusses some of the issues that will be tackled:
