Zikalala says South Africa has set a target to reach zero net emissions by 2050.

CEO of Toyota South Africa Motors Andrew Kirby says the new production line has created 575 new jobs. He says these are critical with the ongoing pandemic and July’s civil unrest that crippled the country’s already struggling economy.
“One of our main focuses is also to improve the profession of our employees. The production of these vehicles has created 575 new jobs and many other jobs. We have many individuals and leaders who are incredible who did a marvelous job. We are grateful to all of them.”
