There has been no reaction from former President Jacob Zuma’s son, Duduzane after he was summoned to appear in court next week on charges of culpable homicide.

This relates to a fatal car crash in 2014 in Johannesburg.

State prosecutors initially decided not to charge Duduzane after his car ploughed into a taxi in Johannesburg, killing one woman and seriously injuring another who later died in hospital.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) initially gave Duduzane two months to say why he should not be prosecuted but he had failed to do so by the deadline at the end of March.

NPA spokesperson, Phindi Mjonondwane, has confirmed that Duduzane had been summoned to appear in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court in Johannesburg on 12 July and that prosecutors expect him to attend.
